Welcome to our class blog! This blog will be dedicated to inform parents about the wonderful things that your child is doing in school.
Classroom Routines: Marble Jar
Our class has a marble jar to help manage the class in a positive way. During the day, when students show good behavior, a handful of marbles go into the jar. The students get excited when they hear the marbles clank together to fill up the jar. We love that it is a team effort and the students are showing kindess and respect in our classroom community. It is also building a safe and positive classroom atmosphere for students. When the marble jar fills up, the class will receive a special class prize! It looks like it's almost filled! |
Classroom Routines: Daily Schedule
Kindergarten is busy! We have so many things to do in one day. Time to learn and time to play! Each morning we go over together what we will do on that day. Putting events in order is a cognitive skill that is important to develop. We hope that overtime, the routine of the days will be easy to remember for the students. Having a daily schedule for students to refer to helps students to feel safe, having less anxiety of what's to come. Soon, the students will be experts and will be telling us what to do! |
Classroom Routines: Job Chart
Just like mommy and daddy have jobs, students have jobs too! Each day the job chart rotates, and students experience being responsible for something. Sometimes it's being the line leader, prayer leader, cleaning up, speaking in front of others, and students love it! They love showing independence and responsibility! It's a great way to reinforce working hard, responsibility, and leadership. |
