Walk-a-thon:
Everyone had a great time at Walk-a-thon this year! See the pictures attached. Thank you for everyone who participated! Everyone who signed up to walk for Kindergarten was present. We are so proud of you all!
Yomitan-no-soto:
This is a short field trip to visit the elderly, sing, and bring them gifts. Students must hand in a permission form in order to be able to go to this field trip. It is on November 18th from 10am-10:30am. We have to leave the school at 9:30am. Parents are encouraged to attend, but parent participation is not required.
Holiday Market (11/19)
We encourage you to join us for the Holiday Market to support local businesses on the island. This is a type of bazaar where there are vendors selling Okinawan high-quality items, yummy food and snacks, and gifts for Christmas.
This week in K5:
Students kept busy this week with learning about how to sequence stories using sequencing words like, first, next, then, and last. We worked on writing complete sentences, making a rhyming tree, reviewing rhyming words, and labeling our body parts. The students have also been practicing for the Christmas program every Wednesday and Friday during nap time. It is coming together really well!
In Math, students finished up Chapter three and were able to explore numbers in their leveled groups. We are seeing so many of our students learning more and wanting to learn more. We are so proud of them and are excited to see them grow even more.
